About Kim
Hi, I'm Kim. I'm figuring it out too.
I'm the storyteller behind It's Okay Culture, a story-led creative space for people working life out as they go, through humour, culture, curiosity, discomfort and creativity.
too young? too old? who are they, anyway.
Why this exists
Life rarely goes as planned. I'd rather tell the honest version than pretend it did.
Online, everyone seems to be on schedule: the career, the house, the glow-up, the perfect trip. Real life looks more like restarts, nerves, awkward first tries and plans that keep buffering.
It's Okay Culture is where those stories live. Some are funny, some are tender, most are both, and every one is about showing up anyway, at any age and any stage.
The lens
How I tell a story
Curious about culture
Language, food, traditions and belonging, approached with curiosity and respect, with a global, African and diaspora-facing point of view.
Story first, always
Every piece has a moment, an honest line and a reflection. Even a brand collaboration should feel like a story you'd actually tell a friend.
Trying anyway
Fear challenges, restarts and creative experiments, told while they're still happening rather than after everything worked out.
The feel
What it is. What it isn't.
Conversational, expressive and human.
Not: A corporate communications website.
Funny, reflective and slightly playful.
Not: A joke-heavy novelty page with no depth.
Culturally curious and globally open.
Not: A generic lifestyle influencer template.
Warm, grown and emotionally honest.
Not: Overly perfect-life, or overly polished.
Creative, story-first and opportunity-ready.
Not: An advert catalogue or a blank portfolio grid.
Come along for the ride.
Follow the stories, or if you're a brand, programme or partner with a story in mind, let's talk.
